I took liberties designing her proper raiment for battle.

I also took liberties designing an alternate set of battle gear too.
The mandrake to the left is just some random mandrake. It shall be known as the Maw.
Its just something I enjoy doing, redesigning characters here and there.
Also, I didn't bother with some background scenery or whatever, its just not something I am good at. Will work on that later.
Anyway, I am kind of impressed at myself for how far I have come from my first pictures here on DA. Still have a long ways to go yet.

I especially love Xetavia's armor.
This is epically awesome, and I can see the major strides you've made in improvement.
But the one thing that REALLY stands out is the anatomy, you payed perfect attention to that, the fact that Xet is smaller but equally lithe, the hunched over Mandrake (my God it's JULIUS!) the awesomeness that is Lusarion and Shy getting ALL UP IN SOMEONES BUSINESS! Xetavia has three Mandrakes named Julius, Adrian and Moriarty (very obviously nicknames). They are her 'personal protection' in cases of extreme emergencies, otherwise they are notoriously noisy garbage bins that nom whatever happens to cross their path.
And for some stupid reason, I keep imagine three mandrakes bickering amongst themselves or something like that.
They do, they're kinda like unruly crocodiles. Moriarty being the dominant Alpha and Julius as Beta and Adrian as Omega...he gets pick on since he's fiend-fire impotent.
